Tristan Ong (王志文) is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and seasoned live performer known for his engaging stage presence and passion for connecting with audiences through music. He is best known as one half of the busking duo The ETC (闲杂人等), alongside Joey Wee, with whom he won Mediacorp’s Battle of the Buskers in 2023 after a series of standout performances across Singapore. Tristan began his musical journey after initially working in the IT industry, later pursuing music full-time and developing his skills in vocals, keyboard performance, songwriting, and live arrangements. Over the years, he has built extensive experience performing at public events, community festivals, and live venues, becoming a familiar face within Singapore’s vibrant busking and live music scene. Beyond performing, Tristan is also an accomplished songwriter who has written songs for artists such as Joi Chua (蔡淳佳) and Jeff Wang (王建復). Known for his heartfelt performances and strong connection with audiences, he continues to bring music to diverse stages — from intimate acoustic settings to large-scale public events — sharing his love for storytelling through song.
